I have grown up as a PK and in church my whole life. I can't describe how thankful I am for the upbringing I have had. My parents have raised me in such a way that I can discover my identity in Christ without forcing it on me. Sure they raised me according to His Word, and gave me standards to live by. They never forced me to have a relationship with Jesus, just like Jesus never forces us to have a relationship with Him. Rather, they showed me the example of Jesus in having a genuine relationship with him. They taught me to be a servant, and I am very appreciative of that. However, I have really only had experiences until now to serve within the comfortable walls of the church or teach in the safe classrooms of a Christian school. I am so very thankful for those opportunities, but they have only better prepared me for getting uncomfortable and serving in the real world.
That real world setting takes place in women's home all across Indianapolis. I have the opportunity, because of Premier Designs Jewelry, to enter into many different homes and provide a fun evening with so many ladies. Many, probably the majority of these ladies, have not met Jesus themselves. I get to show them what Premier stands for and that is Service to everyone who comes in contact with Premier! This world is always finding the easy road in serving customers, but the hard road of spending time, taking time, and caring for each individual that either buys a piece of jewelry or not, brings so much more reward. This business has taught me that when I care genuinely for each lady, giving her a relaxed evening with friends, and making her feel valued, I have done my job. I really get to show her the love of Jesus, the hope He has to offer, when I begin developing a relationship with her. I really feel like Premier is the open door for serving people that are hard to serve, being positive when I have to do a replacement order for a piece of jewelry, staying positive when I just want to vent. I get to develop relationships with those who do Premier also, those who don't know Jesus, but are learning that Premier's philosophy, purpose, and plan come straight from God's Word. I get to share my faith, starting with the very basics (or at least to me, they seem basic). They bring back the freshness of the Word of God, when I start to feel lukewarm. Doing this business keeps me on my toes in so many ways!
The best part is.....IT IS SO MUCH FUN!
